Balance

In finding balance we can come to a point where we’ve discovered our center. It changes just like everything in life and to maintain that equilibrium we have to be in a constant state of awareness. What are some things that can steer you off your center?

For me it can be when I’m blindsided by something, didn’t see it coming and didn’t think of that particular outcome. Sometimes in our need to control things we begin to plan and formulate varying scenarios so that we can be prepared. When things don’t work out you can be swayed off your center.

Maintaining balance requires a soft focus, finding your drishti when you’re on the mat and letting all else fall away. In going deeper, in turning down the volume on the noise, in breathing evenly you can maintain your balance.
